The plastic tray is a kind of container, which has good corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance and impact resistance; and has good mechanical strength. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is polymerized from vinyl chloride. High temperature and contact with grease polyvinyl chloride plastics easily release phthalates and incompletely polymerized toxic vinyl chloride monomers. The plastic wrap made of polyvinyl chloride has good transparency, is not easy to break, has strong adhesion and low price. It is not suitable for meat, cakes and other foods containing more fat, and it is not suitable for microwave heating. Generally speaking, products marked on the market with a temperature of 140°C are relatively safe. However, even microwave plastic tableware that has passed the standard test is only recommended to be used under short-term heating conditions below 700W, unless the product is marked as available. It can only be used under stricter conditions if it has been used for cooking or has obtained other more demanding international certifications.
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic film and cling film have good water barrier properties, so paper-made milk boxes, beverage boxes and other packaging boxes use it as the inner film. Because the low-density polyethylene plastic wrap will melt when it exceeds 120℃, if the food is wrapped with the plastic wrap and heated, the oil in the food will melt some components in the plastic wrap. Remove the film, at least not allow the food to come into direct contact with the plastic wrap. Low-density polyethylene itself does not have degradation properties, and today’s “plastic restriction order” is mainly limited by it.
Polypropylene (PP), which is polymerized from propylene, has better transparency than polyethylene and is harder than polyethylene. Most of the boxes used in restaurants are made of it, and the plastic boxes made can be heated in microwave ovens.
